My Journey to Islam

By - Zana Pajović

"This is the story about my journey to Islam, and I write this exclusively to ILoveAllaah.com page, one of the Islamic Pages/Groups where I learned about Islam. Alhamdulillaah.  And really hope it can inspire the other too, InshaAllaah"
At the beginning I want to tell you that everything I knew about Islam is that Muslims read the Qur'an and do not eat pork.  I grew up with them, one of the my best friend is muslim and very strange is that I had never asked what is actually Islam. The medias are weird, represent Islam in the worst sense - Muslims as terrorists, and the truth is completely different.
I was born into an Orthodox family, baptized when i was nine (9), i did not go to church neither read the Bible, because my father was an atheist.  Although the environment was such stranged that going to church means you're 'crazy', it did not mean that I wasn't a believer, because I am.  I believed in Jesus as the son of God with all my being. Celebrated Christmas and Easter. Believed in his crucifixion and that he gave his life for our sins. Cross and the icon of the Virgin Mary with Jesus from the baptism I kept all these years with me.
How was everything going on?  Hmmm, there was a request for friendship on the social network"facebook".  I accepted, although the name 'Light of Truth' to me was ridiculous.  To the question 'Who are you?' I got the answer 'your light of truth'.  He immediately put me into the group 'Islam or Christianity' in which I stayed just to see what's happened out there.  I learned a lot of things on that group.
Christians have defended theirs, and Muslims too.  It hurt me, I admit, whenever the Muslims said, 'Jesus was not crucified, Jesus was a Muslim, Jesus is not God' and I used to say some bad words and insulted as amounts of lies, I have defended Christianity with all my might.  They told me 'You have the Miracles in the Quran, you have the evidence' and I said 'I swear I will never read the Quran. "
I went to another group (where I stayed in the first) and the wall was filled only a Christian theologian, and Muslims have only commented.  There was a Muslim who is spoken so nice about everything.  Simply and calmly, He had sent evidence from the Quran and I read.  I believed in all this but I refused to accept the truth. Muslims are represented by their religion in right way, and I saw it, but I did not want to accept.
In the first group, I told the Muslims to go out of it and that God will give me time to understand what is true.  Their answer was, 'How do you know, you can die tomorrow?'.  I had replied to them, 'I believe' and went from both groups. I stayed in touch with some of them, a married couple from Serbia and some other people.
I cried, told God that He does not leave me. One woman (a married couplefrom Serbia) sent me a video about Christians who converted to Islam. Then I asked her what was  "to courts" (dova), and she said,  "Stretch out your hands toward heaven and ask God to make your soul large and to make you go on the way of truth."  I did this. I will never forget it.  I did not pray to Jesus, i did it only to God.
And then, one night I dreamt that I was looking for someone with my best friend, but I could not find that person.  Suddenly she told me something which made me realized that it was a dream and I asked 'Where did you get that?' and she responded 'Well, in the Quran."
When I woke up, I thought that it was nothing, just a dream. But God does not let me, I still dreamt, the dreamt to walk with someone and that someone told me something about the accent that is not true, and I answer him, “It's true! I swear to Allah."
I knew that it is !  God has sent me on right way.  Then I browsed on the net, I found the Quran and read. I had no doubt what I was read, and everything i didn't understand, i used to ask the husband of this woman from Serbia.  My friend from Egypt was translating it for me in English, then I stopped after 20 surah.  And you know why? Because God's Word should be read in person.  And this woman's husband brought me a Qur'an from Serbia.  When I was first listening The Quran in Arabic language on the CD, my heart was pounding too hard.  I could not hardly wait to go home and read the Qur'an.
Ablution (al-wudu)?  Funny, I had no idea what it was, but the Quran should not be read if you are impure.  I browsed on the net and watched a group of  'Islam or Christianity.'  I saw a man in a nice way to communicate and I sent him a message on "Facebook" with the question 'Are you ready?'.  His answer was,  'It depends for what' to which I responded with 'To teach me Islam', and he was to respond 'For that I am always ready'.  I must mention that we never communicated before .  I had stated to him my situation, I was reading the Quran, and he interpreted one month.
Beside him, there were many more who have helped me.  When I read the Qur'an in which I had no doubts and I read it with tears on my face,  I decided to accept Islam. I say SHAHADAH in front of a witness, and now, to all you read this I witness in front of you with all my heart I believe, on language I speak that "I testify there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, and I testify Muhammad is His slave and messenger.
Remember at the beginning of my muslim friend i was growing up?  When I told him that I am a Muslim, he could not believe it! Now i have to learn a lot The road to truth is long, but with Allah's help, I started it.  And I ask Allah to help me to pass through the gates of His Paradise!  Some will say that I am a weak, and I say to them “I am strong!“
The best words are the words of Allah, and He says, "Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts which are in the breasts that grow blind". [The Quran, Surah Al-Hajj (22): 46]

What is the merit of Friday over other days ? and Why?

Praise be to Allaah.
Friday has many distinguishing features and virtues that Allaah has bestowed upon this day and not others.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah and Hudhayfah (may Allaah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah led those who came before us away from Friday. The Jews had Saturday, and the Christians had Sunday. Then Allaah brought us and Allaah guided us to Friday. So there is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and thus they will follow us on the Day of Resurrection. We are the last of the people of this world but we will be the first on the Day of Resurrection, and we will be dealt with before all others.” Narrated by Muslim, 856.
Al-Nawawi said:
Al-Qaadi said: The apparent meaning is that it was obligatory for them to venerate Friday but this was not stated clearly; the matter was left to their own reasoning… But they did not manage to work it out and Allaah did not guide them to it. It was enjoined clearly upon this ummah, and was not left to their own reasoning, thus they were blessed with it … It was narrated that Moosa enjoined Friday upon them and told them of its virtues, but they disputed with him and argued that Saturday was better, and it was said to him, ‘Let them be.’ Al-Qaadi said: if there had been a clear command, their arguing with him would not have been valid, rather it would have been said to him that they were going against the command. I say: it may be that that was clearly enjoined upon them but they disputed as to whether it was something they had to adhere to or they could change it to another day; they decided to change it to another day and they erred greatly thereby.
It comes as no surprise that Friday was specifically enjoined upon them and they went against that.
Al-Haafiz said: How can it be otherwise when they are the ones who said “We hear and we disobey”?
It was narrated from Aws ibn Aws that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best of your days is Friday. On that day Adam (peace be upon him) was created; on that day he died; on that day the Trumpet will be blown and on that day all of creation will swoon. So send a great deal of blessings upon me, for your blessings will be shown to me.” They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, how will our blessings upon you be shown to you when you have turned to dust?” He said, “Allaah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets, peace be upon them.
Narrated by Abu Dawood, 1047; classed as saheeh by Ibn al-Qayyim in his comments on Sunan Abi Dawood, 4/273; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 925.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. On it Adam was created, on it he was admitted to Paradise and on it he was expelled therefrom.
Narrated by Muslim, 1410.
This hadeeth includes some of the reasons why Friday is regarded as special.
Al-Nawawi said:
Al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad said: The apparent meaning is that these virtues do not mean that Friday is regarded as special because Adam was expelled on a Friday and the Hour will begin on a Friday. Rather it is meant to explain what momentous events took place and will take place on this day, so that people will make the most of this day to do righteous deeds, so as to attain the mercy of Allaah and ward off His punishment. This is the view of al-Qaadi. Abu Bakr ibn al-‘Arabi said in his book al-Ahwadhi fi Sharh al-Tirmidhi: All of these events are good and add to the virtue of Friday. The expulsion of Adam from Paradise is the reason why his offspring and the Messengers, the Prophets, the righteous and the awliya’ exist. He was not expelled from it as such, but rather it was for a purpose, then he will return to it. With regard to the Hour beginning on a Friday, the reason is so that the reward may be hastened for the Prophets, believers in truth, awliya’ and others, and their honour and high status may be made manifest. This hadeeth points to the virtues of Friday and its high status in relation to the other days.
It was narrated that Abu Lubaabah ibn ‘Abd al-Mundhir said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Friday is the master of days, and the greatest of them before Allaah. It is greater before Allaah than the day of al-Adha and the day of al-Fitr. It has five characteristics: on this day Allaah created Adam, on it He sent Adam down to the earth, on it Allaah caused Adam to die, on it there is a time when a person does not ask Allaah for anything but He gives it to him, so long as he does not ask for anything haraam, and on it the Hour will begin. There is no angel who is close to Allaah, no heaven, no earth, no wind, no mountain and no sea that does not fear Friday.” Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 1084; classed as hasan by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 2279
Al-Sanadi said: “They fear Friday” means they fear the onset of the Hour. This indicates that all created beings are aware of the days and they know that the Day of Resurrection will come on a Friday.

The virtues of this day include the following:

1 – On it is Salaat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer), which is the best of prayer.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salaah (prayer) on Friday (Jumu‘ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allaah [Jumu‘ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salaah (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if you did but know!” [al-Jumu’ah 62:9]
Muslim (233) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The five daily prayers and from one Jumu’ah to the next is an expiation for whatever sins come in between them, so long as one does not commit a major sin.”
2 – Praying Fajr in congregation on Fridays is the best prayer that the Muslim can pray during the week.
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best prayer before Allaah is Fajr prayer on Friday in congregation.”
Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Eemaan; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1119
One of the special features of Fajr prayer on Friday is that it is Sunnah to recite Soorat al-Sajdah in the first rak’ah and Soorat al-Insaan in the second.
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to recite in Fajr prayer in Fridays Alif-Laam-Meem Tanzeel (Soorat al-Sajdah) in the first rak’ah and Hal ata ‘ala’l-insaan heenun min al-dahr lam yakun shay’an madhkooran (Soorat al-Insaan) in the second.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 851; Muslim, 880.
Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar said:
It was said that the reason why these two soorahs are recited is because they mention the creation of Adam and what will happen on the Day of Resurrection, because that will come to pass on a Friday.
3 – Whoever dies during the day or night of Friday, Allaah will protect him from the trial of the grave.
It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There is no Muslim who dies during the day of Friday or the night of Friday but Allaah will protect him from the trial of the grave.”
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1074; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Ahkaam al-Janaa’iz, p. 49, 50
These are some of the virtues of Friday. We ask Allaah to help us to please Him. And Allaah knows best.

Wonders of Numbers in the Al-Quran

Al-Quran is the word of God is a miracle. Nothing can equal the beauty of language and there will be no one who can rival Al qur'an, even one verse.Al-Quran and beauty when we sing ...Al-Quran. Many people whose hearts thrilled if the read out the verses ..Al-Quran, so then he gets the minutes of the truth ...Al-Quran is the only book that has maintained its authenticity even revealed 14 centuries ago. Many efforts will be undertaken by the infidels to forge ...Al-Quran, but the effort was always foundered ...Al-Quran, amounting to 30 chapters, 112 verses and 51 900 6666 letter word easily memorized by people who believe and have a clean heart ...Al-Quran is a source of knowledge that was never out of date even always precede the time, because the truth just proved when the world was able to create technology. Another miracle of ...Al-Quran is not less astonishing is that ...Al-Quran was arranged according to mathematical calculations very carefully and very smart! Here are some calculations that really is a miracle.
-The word "Yaum" (days) in the singular is mentioned 365 times, the same number by the number of days in the year Syamsyiyyah- The word "Yaum" (days) in the plural as much as 30 times, equal to the number of days in a month- The word "shahr" (Moon) 12 times, equal to the number of months in a year.- The word "Sab'u (weeks) is mentioned 7 times, equal to the number of days in a week-Number of "Saah" (h), preceded by "Harf" as much as 24 times, equal to the number of hours in a day- The word "prostration" is mentioned 34 times, equal to the number of rak'ahs in prayer 5 times- The word "Shalawat" is mentioned 5 times, the same as the sheer number of obligatory prayers a day and night- The word "Aqimu" followed the word "Prayer" As many as 17 times, equal to the number of rakats fard prayers.- The word "al-Dunya" is mentioned 115 times as much, so does the word "al-Akhirah" as much as 115 times- The word "al-israf" is mentioned 23 times, so is the opposite word "al-Sur'ah"- The word "angel" is mentioned 88 times, says the opposite "of al-Syayathin" is also 88 times- The word "al-sultan" is mentioned 37 times, says the opposite "of al-Nifaq" is also 37 times- The word "Harb" (hot) 4 times, the reverse is "al-Bard" (cold) is also 4 times- The word "al-Harb '(war) as much as 6 times, the reverse is" al-Husra "(prisoner) 6 times- The word "al-Hayat" (Life) as much as 145 times, the reverse is "al-Maut" (dead) 145 times- The word "Qalu" (they say) as much as 332 times, the reverse "Qul" (say) as well as much as 332 times- The word "al-Sayyiat" (evil) which is the opposite word "al-Shahihat" (Virtue) respectively 180 times- The word "al-Rahbah" (anxiety / fear) is the opposite word "al-Ragbah" (hope / wish) each 8 times- The word "al-Naf'u" which is the opposite word "al-Facade" each 50 times- The word "al-Nas" which is the opposite word "al-Rusul" respectively 368 times- The word "al-Asbath" which is the opposite word "al-Awariyun" each 5 times- The word "al-Jahr" who were opposed to the word "al-Alaniyah" 16 times respectively.
There are many more, which can not be mentioned one by one ...Now do the calculation as follows:a. By searching the percentage of the word "bahr" (sea) to the total number of words (bahr and barr) we get: (32/45) x 100% = 71.1111111%b. By searching the percentage of the word "barr (land) to the total number of words (bahr and barr) we get: (13/45) x 100% = 28.888888889%We'll get that Allah SWT. In the Qur'an 14 centuries ago stated that the percentage of water on earth is 71.11111111%, and the percentage of land is 28.8888888889, and this is the real ratio of water and land. That's a small miracle and the miracle of the Qur'an. Keajaiaban the other is a mystery that will inshaAllah be solved by people who are knowledgeable. Thus I share the wonders of Islam in Al-qur'an and hopefully this can add to our enthusiasm in reciting the Quran.

Pray Shielded from Disaster

The accident is something that we can not forecast when and where and to whom it will overwrite. Our obligation as a believer is always praying for the protection of Almighty Allah Taala uterus so that we avoid disaster.
Messenger of Allah in many ways always urge the believers so that they always remember the Lord so that they always have an abundance of God's loving mercy Taala. Doom down a barrage of natural disasters that has befallen the families of the past, many of the country ravaged and devastated, leaving only the name and the marks alone. He saw very worried lest the punishment due to an error something like that down also upon those who have been faithful to him one day or the people who live around his hometown of Allah
Thus at any moment he saw the wind blowing hard or heavy rain fall, he immediately begged the protection of God Almighty and pray that He may lose his affection. And he saw urge the believers also to beg mercy, so that the wind was blowing hard and rain was pouring down with it should not be punishment for them. So when it happens the wind storm or strong wind blowing or the rain pouring down so he immediately begged the protection of Allah and mercy of Allah swt
There is a hadeeth narrated by Abu Hurairah ra Hadzrat he said the Messenger of Allah said: "And let not ye cursed winds because the winds are also carriers of the grace of Allah Almighty in addition he brings doom. However, ask the wind to the goodness of Almighty Allah and seek refuge in Him from the ugliness. "
Utbah bin Rawahah hear from Aisha r.a. he said: "If the wind was blowing hard or there is thick cloud visible above the sky, then the Messenger of Allah visible face immediately changed, briefly sat for a while walking, he saw back and forth in a state of nervous and worried lest the wind or the clouds that bring doom. If rain has fallen beliaupun seem happy, kegelisahanpun slowly disappear. "
A'ishah said, he was at a time when Allah said: "I am afraid lest punishment come down with the wind or the cloud that will befall my ummah". When he saw the rain has fallen, he said: "Thank God this grace of God come down!"
Being the Messenger of Allah from head to toe sheer mercy for all creatures of Allah swt He himself prayed for all and also teaches that prayer-prayer that must be practiced by his ummah. If there is wind or a storm blowing hard read this prayer:اللهم اني اسئلك خيرها وخير ما فيها وخير ما ارسلت بهواعوذ بك من شرها وشرما فيها وشرما ارسلت به
It means: "O Allah, I beg that there is goodness and kindness and goodness derived therein with him. And I seek refuge in Thee from the ugliness and the evil contained within and derived from the ugliness with him. "اللهم اني اعوذ بك من زوال نعمتك و تحول عافيتك وفجات نقمتك وجميع سختك
It means: "O Allah I seek refuge in You from the loss of ni'mat which Thou hast bestowed to me, and of the changing health which Thou hast bestowed to me, and from the doom thou come suddenly and I seek refuge in You from all cases that pose wrath Thou. "
